Our data-driven, AI-augmented platform combines three things: the I-TRACK (HX) Hydrogen Product Code, a certification methodology for hydrogen and its derivatives; the Digital Product Passport, which records the carbon footprint of a product as it moves through the supply chain; and the Project Bankability Engine, which helps developers address the regulatory, technology, offtake and financing risks that keep new projects from being financed.

Role summary

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to run our day-to-day accounting and compliance. You will manage the full accounting cycle on a cloud-based system, keep the company compliant with ADGM requirements and UAE tax regulations, and work with our sustainability team to bring carbon and ESG data into financial reporting.

 

Key responsibilities

Financial reporting and core accounting

  • Run the monthly, quarterly and annual close, including balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, payroll and intercompany reconciliations.

ADGM compliance and UAE tax

  • Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and manage compliance with UAE Corporate Tax.
  • Prepare filings and disclosures for the ADGM Registration Authority and, where applicable, the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).
  • Act as the main contact for external auditors during the annual statutory audit.

 Climate finance and ESG reporting

  • Work with the sustainability team to integrate carbon accounting, environmental credits and ESG metrics into financial models.
  • Track the allocation of funds from investors, grants and green finance instruments.
  • Monitor budgets and cash flow for development and R&D projects.


Qualifications and requirements

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, sustainability or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA or CMA) required.
  • At least five years’ progressive accounting experience, including at least two years in ADGM or another UAE free zone.
  • Experience in renewable energy, technology startups, SaaS or infrastructure finance is preferred.

Skills

  • Advanced user of cloud accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks or NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT, Corporate Tax and ADGM corporate governance.
  • Excellent professional English. Arabic or experience with multi-currency reporting is an advantage.
