Our Mission

We will spare no effort in empowering consumers – citizens and businesses – to exercise control over their energy and product procurement decisions.

The energy transition can only materialize when demand drives value creation across energy and product supply chains.

Providing consumers with the tools that enable them to make informed and unbiased decisions is critical to realizing a sustainable economy.

Track Record

We are a group of entrepreneurs and industry professionals challenging the status quo in the energy business.

We worked for some of the world’s leading energy companies, investment banks, law firms, engineering companies, academic institutions, and multilateral development institutions.

We are among the few who can bridge the gap between academic theory and business, while maintaining our commitment to balancing the interests of all our stakeholders.

Between us, we developed over 7 GW of independent power projects in many countries around the world, advised developers on energy and infrastructure transactions worth over $80 billion, and advised governments on investment strategy and data science.

We conceived of a cross-border undersea HVDC cable linking North Africa with Southern Europe, which has recently become a European Project of Common Interest. Some of us went further and ventured into space in a quest to de-risk space based solar power.

We know what we are up against and are prepared to face whatever challenges come our way.

Molecules & Electrons to Applications

At Avance, we are leveraging both Molecules and Electrons in a race against time to meet our planet’s net-zero emissions targets.

Over 148 countries, 271 cities, and 1145 publicly listed companies have committed to net-zero emissions targets by 2050 and 2060.
(Net Zero Tracker)

Electrons (electricity generated from renewable resources) alone will not be sufficient to attain these targets.

Molecules (produced from renewable resources and from fossil fuels with associated carbon emissions captured, utilized and stored and/or removed from the atmosphere) will complement the role of Electrons and decarbonize those hard-to-abate sectors that cannot be easily or economically electrified.

We outlined our vision for the emerging hydrogen ecosystem along with the inefficiencies of the current energy system in a paper published by the T-20, an advisory group to the G-20 Summit held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2020.
