Based in Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), we help steel producers, industrial gas companies, fuel suppliers and project developers decarbonize commodity supply chains and bring first-of-a-kind industrial projects to financial close. Our data-driven, AI-augmented platform combines three things: the I-TRACK (HX) Hydrogen Product Code, a certification methodology for hydrogen and its derivatives; the Digital Product Passport, which records the carbon footprint of a product as it moves through the supply chain; and the Project Bankability Engine, which helps developers address the regulatory, technology, offtake and financing risks that keep new projects from being financed. ## **Role summary** We  are looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Solutions Architect to lead the technical build of our Digital Product Passport (DPP) platform. You will design the data architecture, traceability pipelines and integrations that track product life cycles, carbon footprints and circularity metrics, and turn data science models into production software.   ## **Key responsibilities** **DPP architecture and data engineering** - Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines and storage to ingest, transform and secure multi-tier supply chain data. - Define data schemas, interoperability standards (such as GS1, EPCIS and W3C Decentralized Identifiers) and APIs for cross-border product data exchange. - Evaluate and integrate distributed ledger or cryptographic ledger technologies to keep tamper-proof life cycle records. **Data science operations** - Deploy and scale machine learning models (MLOps), including predictive life cycle assessment, Scope 3 emissions modeling and circularity scoring. - Design graph databases or knowledge graphs to map supply chains, manufacturing processes and material provenance. - Build real-time processing for IoT and telemetry data from industrial sites. **Regulatory alignment and data governance** - Work with legal and compliance colleagues to ensure the architecture meets EU DPP requirements, UAE sustainability targets and ADGM Data Protection Regulations. - Set data privacy protocols, using techniques such as zero-knowledge proofs or secure multi-party computation where industrial data must remain confidential. ## **Qualifications and requirements** **Education and experience** - Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data engineering, software engineering or another quantitative field. - At least six years’ software engineering experience, including two or more years in an architecture or lead role on supply chain traceability, blockchain or data-intensive applications. - Familiarity with circular economy principles, carbon accounting frameworks or Digital Product Passport initiatives is preferred. **Skills** - Strong proficiency in Python, Go or Java, and in data tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka and Airflow. - Experience with NoSQL and graph databases (such as Neo4j) and cloud-native architecture on AWS, Azure or GCP, using Kubernetes and Docker . - Experience with Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric or similar enterprise networks is an advantage. - Ability to explain data science concepts clearly and translate them into production designs for multidisciplinary teams.   **Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE **Department:**  Engineering and Data Science  **Employment type:** Full-time   Send your CV to **info@avance.energy** | | *Avance Labs is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Applications should include a CV and a brief cover letter outlining relevant experience.* | | |       [![Avance-Logo-(W)-1](https://avance.energy/hubfs/Avance-Logo-(W)-1.png)](https://avance.energy?hsLang=en) - [Terms of Use](https://avance.energy/terms-conditions) - [Privacy Policy](https://avance.energy/privacy) © 2026 Avance Labs *Return to Top*
